Terms of Use

By accessing or using CommunityConnect ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CommunityConnect. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Platform following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Platform. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian awareness. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

CommunityConnect uses Internet Identity, a device-based authentication system, for account creation and access. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authenticated device. All activity that occurs through your account is your responsibility.

You agree not to share access to your account, create accounts for others without their consent, or use automated systems to access the Platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have been compromised or are being misused.

You may use the Platform pseudonymously or with full anonymity as provided by our authentication system. However, this anonymity does not exempt you from compliance with these Terms or applicable laws.

You retain ownership of all content you post to the Platform ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant CommunityConnect a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store, display, and distribute your User Content as necessary to operate the Platform.

You represent and warrant that: (a) you have the right to submit the User Content; (b) the User Content does not infringe any third-party rights; and (c) the User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.

We do not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for any User Content. Any reliance on User Content — including advice or experiences shared by community members — is at your own risk. User Content is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or financial advice.

You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Platform: (a) posting content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or violates any third-party rights; (b) impersonating any person or entity; (c) distributing spam, malware, or phishing content; (d) attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.

You further agree not to: (a) scrape or extract data from the Platform without written permission; (b) reverse engineer or attempt to discover source code; (c) use the Platform for any commercial purpose not expressly permitted, including unauthorized advertising; (d) post content that encourages self-harm.

Violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, and where warranted, referral to law enforcement. We cooperate fully with lawful law enforcement requests.

Service providers may list their services in the CommunityConnect Directory, subject to review and approval. Listings must accurately represent your services. False, misleading, or deceptive listings will be removed and may result in account termination.

Directory listings are currently provided free of charge. CommunityConnect reserves the right to introduce a subscription fee for listings in the future, with advance notice to existing providers. CommunityConnect does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the quality or safety of any directory listing. We are not a party to any transaction between users and directory service providers. Use any listed service at your own judgement and risk.

The Platform, including its design, logos, trademarks, and all non-user-generated content, is owned by CommunityConnect and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written permission.

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us at communityconnect.forum@pm.me with the subject line 'Copyright Claim'.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your Dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

CommunityConnect is a peer support community platform. We do not provide medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Content shared by community members reflects individual experiences and opinions. Always consult qualified professionals for such matters.

In no event shall CommunityConnect be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief for intellectual property violations or privacy breaches in any court of competent jurisdiction.
